A sunset over Newland Lake

Newland. Usually thought of as a bustling center of back-alley deals, violence, and anarchy, Newland City has taken many steps to make the streets safer. While Clan and Omni-Tek employees still roam the streets, occasionally inciting fights and occasionally trading in secrecy, Newland has become a hot new tourist attraction. The streets are more crowded now than ever, and the city administrators are at work with Omni-Tek and the ICC on a new amss transit system.

Lovely woods await visitors to Newland City

The city, though, is the tip of the iceburg. After a refreshing drink at Neuts 'R Us, take a loved one for a walk through the relatively safe Wiiky Valley, finishing off with a hike to the rocks towering above Newland Lake. This romantic and isolated spot is a perfect getaway for a picnic, or to just avoid civilisation. For the more adventurous, nearby Varmint Woods provides some excitement. An overnight trip there is a terrifying and fully enjoyable experience, for most Rubi-Kans.

Located centrally, with access to every city in the North and the Grid, Newland is a must-visit. The open-air feel is refreshing, and recent changes make the stay safe and comfortable, if a bit crowded. The outdoors experience, though, is a must. Newland is heartily recommended for those tired of business, politics, and war.
